Library and Learning Resource Centre

The Library and Learning Resource Centre provides an engaging environment that supports teaching and learning within the College and encourages an interest in quality research, effective and independent learners.

The junior Library is open from Monday to Friday from 8.15 am through student lunchtimes and until 3.45 pm in the afternoon.  This allows students to prepare for the day, catch up on reading or study and use facilities such as printers and computers. There are many displays and activities throughout the year designed to support our local community or classroom learning.

Junior Homework Club is also available in the Library until 4.00 pm Monday to Thursday offering an opportunity for students to complete homework and assessments with assistance from teaching staff.  Teaching staff can also offer assistance with organisational and study skills in preparation for exams.

We have a learning space offering 22 computers and 15 laptops which are utilised to support classroom learning.  We also offer a multipurpose interactive learning space with interactive computer technology.  We provide support and collaborate with teaching staff to develop information literacy and ICT learning strategies that are incorporated into teaching and learning.  We are focused on providing 24/7 access to quality online information available through our portal.

The senior Library is open Monday to Friday from 7:45 am.  We are also open at lunchtime.
Homework Club operates on Tuesday & Wednesday from 3:30 to 5:00pm. It gives students the opportunity to catch up on work, get ahead with an assignment or just a quiet environment to collaborate with fellow students.  A teacher is present during Homework Club to offer support.
On other days, the library closes at 3:30pm.
